As a key member of the Facilities Materials & Services organization (FMS), the Facilities Commodity Manager will develop and implement specific supply chain strategies for construction services that enable Intel's global facilities roadmap. This position is responsible for successfully implementing global supply chain strategies in collaboration with site project teams that continue to drive step function improvements in safety, cost, quality and schedule. •Development, proliferation and monitoring of supply chain strategies that continually balance, monitor and react to supply & demand of labor and materials for capital projects across the globe.
•Maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships and participate in high-level negotiations for major contracts
•Collaborate with and drive the integration of other FMS functional teams to implement Supply-chain strategies, prefab, preassembly, modularization & off-site fabrication and low-cost country sourcing of equipment and strategic materials that reduce cost and delivery.
•Collaborate with Engineering, Operations and other FMS functional teams to explore new, strategic, cost effective, goal oriented commodity resource activities
•Manage & develop specific project performance to cost, quality and delivery performance goals
•A B.S., or B.A with 7 years of industrial facilities construction related experience with progressively increasing accountability, responsibilities and results.
•Extensive knowledge and understanding of Sourcing and Procurement operations, practices and procedures within the construction industry.
•Excellent skills in purchasing and pricing techniques such as supplier selection, compensation and delivery strategies and the risks associated to each.
•Demonstrated supplier & project key performance metrics development & tracking.
•Experience negotiating complex claims and amendments for capital construction projects.
•Ability to understand both strategic and tactical issues combined with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Results oriented, self-starter with strong program & project management capabilities and able to handle multiple initiatives while meeting all deadlines in a fast paced environment.
•Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work effectively with multiple functions, sites, and suppliers. Strong executive influencing skills.
•Strong negotiation and business acumen skills.
•Proven ability to influence and give presentations to diverse audiences
•Excellent oral and written communication skills across all functions, regions, and levels in the organization. Able to back up thoughts with facts & data.
The ideal individual would possess a MBA with concentrations in supply chain, finance or economics along with an undergraduate degree in an engineering discipline.
