Responsible for the management of Gartner Forecast and Market Sizing / Share research, process design and improvement and quality standard across different segments and teams. Strategically, drive the change management efforts to deliver Forecast Innovation (FIP) and Market Sizing Innovation Programs (MSIP). Operationally, ensure the right methodologies and processes are in place and followed to deliver high quality and timely forecast and market share research. Promote continuous process improvement, challenge status quo and motivate teams to adopt culture that focuses on high quality and efficiency.
* Must Have Research: Drive up the quality of Gartner Market Statistics research and position it as strategic insight
* Scale the business: Ensure consistency across TSP (Technology and Service Provider) and improve operational efficiency through innovation in tools and models. Drive best practice and process integration/improvement across TSP teams.
* Teamwork: Facilitate collaboration through shared methodologies and processes, and leveraged research deliverables. Drive cross team collaboration and team cohesion
* Process Improvement: Relentless focus on process efficiency and search for better ways and methods to deliver quality product
* Project Management: Coordination with PMs and segment teams to ensure projects and initiatives are delivered on time and with desirable result
Forecast Methodology & Innovation
* Continuously improve the methodologies, techniques and processes of Gartner forecasts driven by Forecast Innovation Program and lead the related change management efforts
* Evolve market segmentation to meet evolving client needs
* Continuously review and improve cross segment dependencies, especially related to IoT, ensure data and assumption validation and integration with vertical segments.
* Provide advice on creating Market Models upon which to base Gartner’s forecasts
* Support analysts in using new models and tools to create forecast data
* Coach analysts on how to develop, articulate and present forecast assumptions
* Drive continuous process improvement and increase quality standards
Market Share Methodology & Innovation
* Continuously improve the methodologies, techniques and processes of Gartner market size and market share driven by Market Sizing Innovation Program and lead the related change management efforts
* Drive the implementation of Vendor Revenue Composition models, which require reconciliation of vendor revenue and market share estimates with vendor financial results
Forecast Delivery
* Ensure timely delivery of high-quality quantitative and qualitative quarterly forecast publications to GMS and
* Ensure relevance, timeliness and high-quality of ad hoc quantitative and qualitative “special” forecast publications
* Ensure integration of IoT segment into Gartner forecast, especially in cases of cross segment impact
Forecast Quality
* Ensure individual forecast positions are consistent with T&SP overall
* Drive improvements in forecast analysis
* Provide forecast guidance and direction
* Monitor forecast output vs actual and propose adjustments to improve future forecast performance
* Drive continuous improvement projects in Forecast process with the goals of improving quality and reducing cycle times
Market Share Delivery
* Ensure timely delivery of high-quality quantitative and qualitative market share publications to (and GMS when available)
Market Share Quality
* Ensure analysts use all available data sources and analysis techniques to improve the quality of vendor revenue estimates
* Monitor market developments and propose adjustments to segmentation to improve market share relevance
* Drive continuous improvement in market share analysis
* Drive continuous improvement projects in Market Share process with the goals of improving quality and reducing cycle times
* Communicate effectively the FIP and MSIP value proposition both internally and externally
* Support preparation, presentation and promotion of the overall IT forecast
* Present forecast and market share methodology, data and analysis internally and externally

Job Requirements:
This is an individual contributor role that can be located at any Gartner office location in North America or the United Kingdom

* Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent 4-year university degree) in Science / Engineering / Mathematics, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or other related field
* Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher desirable
* 12 years total business experience with at least 5 years experience or equivalent in research, market analysis, product management / marketing or project management in a complex, matrix organization.
* Demonstrated track record of managing and delivering processes, projects and programs in a global workforce environment
* Experience in M&A integration projects a plus
