Full Charge Bookkeeper

Provide support to the owner with bookkeeping duties, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger and account reconciliation, journal entry postings and creating financial statements and reports. Resolve financial issues and handle daily monitoring of cash flow. Work closely in cooperation and share responsibilities with outside bookkeeping service. Duties: •Pay supplier/vendor invoices in a timely manner] •Take all reasonable discounts on supplier invoices •Pay debts as they come due •Monitor compliance with debt covenants •Issue invoices to customers •Keep track of fixed assets •Collect sales taxes from customers and remit them to appropriate government agencies •Ensure that receivables are collected promptly •Record cash receipts and make bank deposits •Complete monthly bank reconciliations •Conduct periodic reviews of all accounts to ensure their accuracy •Maintain the petty cash fund •Prepare and issue financial statements •Provide information for the external accountant •Maintain an orderly accounting filing system •Maintain the chart of accounts •Maintain the annual budget, calculate variances and report findings to owner •Comply with local, state and Federal reporting requirements •Process payroll in a timely manner •Provide administrative support, as required
