Accountemps has an excellent opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper. Your responsibilities will include the preparation of financial statements; the establishment and preservation of the accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives of the business; and all other general accounting and bookkeeping tasks. This short term temporary-to-fulltime Full Charge Bookkeeper opportunity is based in Tucson, Arizona. Responsibilities - Maintaining historical records by filing documents - Performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including collections - Handling reconciliations for bank and general ledgers, and processing payroll - Maintaining adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements by keeping up to date on them, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions - Preparing depreciation schedules by tracking fixed assets - Assembling the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and income and cash flow statements - Supervising accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers - Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
