Accountemps has an excellent opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper. In this position, you will prepare financial statements; establish and maintain the accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives of the organization; and handle all other general accounting and bookkeeping functions. Based in Indio, California, the Full Charge Bookkeeper role is a short term temporary-to-fulltime opportunity. Responsibilities - Studying and implementing federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and communicating with management on needed actions - Preparing depreciation schedules by tracking fixed assets - Overseeing work of accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers - Carefully filing documents to preserve historical records - Handling processing tasks for accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections - Performing reconciliations for bank and general ledgers, as well as payroll processing - Putting together the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement - Ensuring monthly, quarterly and year end close happens accurately and on time
