Accountemps is actively looking for for a Full Charge Bookkeeper. To be successful in this role and take advantage of the growth potential, you should multitask effectively, manage your time well, and have strong communication and organizational skills. Your responsibilities will include the preparation of financial statements; the establishment and preservation of the accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives of the business; and all other general accounting and bookkeeping tasks. The Full Charge Bookkeeper position is a short term temporary opportunity in Merrit Island, Florida. Major responsibilities - Supervising accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers - Completing monthly, quarterly, and year end close, on time and in an accurate manner - Producing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet and statements of income and of cash flows - Preserving historical records through accurate filing of documents - Performing reconciliations for bank and general ledgers, as well as payroll processing - Tracking fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules - Handling processing tasks for accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections - Studying and adhering to federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and detailing needed actions to management
