We are seeking a talented, creative, and passionate full stack engineer to join a newly formed team that will create the core assistant/bot platform powering the eBay digital personal assistant to shop and sell on the world’s biggest marketplace. You will specialize in creating high performance client side and server side applications powering the platform that will enable text and voice assisted dialogue across all of eBay’s global experiences in mobile and web.
You will contribute to design, development and agile efforts for both the presentation and service tiers. As a self-motivated and enthusiastic member of our team, you will work with extremely talented peers in a fun environment pushing the performance bar across web & mobile applications.
You will enjoy the challenges of mastering the behavior across all browsers & screens to deliver a consistent and elegant user experience. Define, design, and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software applications for the platform. Develop innovative solutions that not only meet functionality requirements but meet performance, scalability and reliability requirements while adhering to implementation schedules, development principles and product goals.
Must be able to independently design, code and test major features, as well as work jointly with other team members to deliver complex features. Help define product requirements, estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, rollout system changes and evaluate product performance. Share release management duties on feature rollouts, share on-call responsibilities
