Game Developer Relations Intern
Job Description
Come Intern with Intel and help make games better with a role as a Game Developer Relations Engineer. The interactive entertainment industry is rapidly changing, with many top tier developers looking to set themselves apart with exciting new directions like VR, AR and other emerging technologies. Join Intel as we help AAA & emerging game developers along their journey with our solutions in computer vision, graphics, memory and CPU.

The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is excited about the games industry and wants to help multiple game developers bring exciting new experiences to their players with hardware well before it's available to the general public. You are comfortable working directly with external developers on their source code to build better gaming experiences and then communicate the results of the work externally at conferences and in articles.

This role is focused on integration, adoption, collaboration and support. You will be helping to change the game - literally - and will be a big part of Intel's future success in gaming and interactive entertainment.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must be pursuing a bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
- Applicants must have a legal right to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Minimum of 6 months experience with:
  • Writing optimized C/C
  • 3D graphics or game programming

Preferred Qualifications
-Experience with the following:
  • DirectX 12 or Vulkan
  • Virtual Reality or Augmented Reality
  • Unity, Unreal Engine, or other game engines
  • Multicore programming
  • Using profiling tools to help you optimize your code.
