This Full Time GDSN Analyst (Global Data Synchronization Network) role will be a part of the Supply Chain Visibility department within the J&J Supply Chain Strategy & Deployment organization, and report to the GDSN Sr. Analyst. This role will be the responsible for executing on day-to-day operational GDSN capability at J&J. Serving alongside other GDSN Analysts, this role will be engaged with our Customer & Logistics Services (CLS), Enterprise Master Data Management, multiple franchises plus our MAKE organizations to ensure GDSN capabilities and service to our customers and their requirements for GDSN. The role will support the operational base business activities that also communicate with customer fronting engagements for Consumer, Medical Devices and Pharma segments. This role will be the responsible for analyzing the product data needs for specific customers (both internal and external), aggregating data from multiple internal and external sources and providing data via the Global Data Synchronization Network.
Primary day-to- day activities such as:
•Communicate regularly with other GDSN analysts to ensure customers are to meet customer’s data synchronization requests are met in a timely manner with quality
•Troubleshoot data quality issues and timing issues with customers, GDSN data pools, and other 3rd party providers as assigned.
•Analyze product data needs, aggregate data from multiple sources, and submit data via the GDSN, and verify data quality and compliance to the GDSN data dictionary via various mechanisms.
•Contribute to obtain, improve and measure metrics for both internal and external customers.
•Candidate shall develop an in-depth understanding of JNJ product merchandising, indicated usage and the customer-specific systems and or processes that receive synchronized data as well as learn and execute on GS1 standards as they relate to GDSN business and technology solutions. (required)
•A Bachelor’s Degree or in process
•Expertise or capability in Excel functionality; ability to write and execute macros, validates data, and run scenarios.
•Expertise or capability to master various and JNJ’s master data comparison tools, labeling systems, and review XML schema.
•Working experience and knowledge of GDSN, data pools and or medical devices.
•Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to both internal and external customers.
•Ability to follow directions and work independently
•Up to 20% travel may be required.
