Job Description
As a member of the Healthcare and benefits consulting practice, you will work with healthcare payers, providers, pharmaceutical companies, federal/state/local government agencies and employers on a wide variety of consulting and advisory services to help them evaluate, strategize, develop, and manage their product portfolios, pricing/financial reporting,

risk quantification, provider reimbursement, data analytics, and compliance. You will provide actuarial related services to a wide range of companies, as well as assisting a large number of clients with specific issues that they may have.

Healthcare and Consulting Services for commercial, Medicare and Medicaid programs, including but not limited to:
- Product development / pricing / underwriting / rate filing
- Actuarial valuation, reserve development and financial reporting
- CMS Medicare Advantage and Part D bid pricing analysis
- Regulatory compliance including Affordable Care Act
- Risk adjustment
- Provider reimbursement redesign / contracting / risk sharing
- Vendor selection / implementation
- Vendor / plan performance reviews
- Private exchange strategy assessments
- Enterprise Risk Management / risk assessment & ORSA
- Other actuarial analysis and data analytics

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 3

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics or Business

Certification(s) Required: One or more of the following certifications are required for this role: Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA), Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)

Degree Preferred: Master's degree in Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Public Policy or other analytics-based field

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates considerable knowledge of, and/or success in roles involving, plan designs, pricing, and compliance/financial reporting aspects of health and welfare plans in a major consulting firm or corporate environment, including the following areas:

- Reviewing and performing health plan and/or actuarial data analyses; and,
- Leveraging a general understanding of healthcare strategy and regulations.

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates proven thorough abilities and success in roles identifying and addressing client needs: actively participating in client discussions and meetings; communicating a broad range of Firm services; managing engagements including preparing concise, accurate documents and balancing project economics management with the occurrence of unanticipated issues.
