MetLife’s Global Leadership Development Program (GLDP) fosters world-class future leaders capable of leading functions across the firm. Program participants interface with MetLife’s various cross-functional businesses, gaining exposure to cutting-edge strategies, products and trends; working with leaders; and are provided with initial exposure to the process of developing the critical skills and competencies needed to become a World Class General Manager at MetLife.   PRGGLDP

The rotational program consists of three rotations, throughout which the participants will be engaged in a wide range of learning experiences including business and leader exposure, live and self-paced learning, skills assessments, career planning, coaching, networking, global action learning projects focused on key business strategies and exposure to MetLife’s global practices.

The program provides a challenging, fast paced work environment while developing deep networks with both senior leaders and program peers. Participants will be assigned in business areas such as strategy, marketing, operations, sales, and product development. Throughout the program, participants will enhance their general management and leadership skills, gain exposure to critical business areas, interact with executive leaders and receive frequent developmental feedback while having initial exposure to a General Management leadership career path.



  • Recent MBA graduate, or 2nd year student
  • Must have genuine interest in pursuing a General Manager career
  • 3 - 5 years relevant business experience
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, multi-lingual a distinct advantage
  • Global perspective, mindset, and cultural adaptability
  • Global Mobility and willingness to work in both emerging and developed markets
  • High level of flexibility and collaboration

Visa and/or work permit sponsorship will be reviewed and determined on a case-by-case basis as the ability to obtain required authorizations depends on a number of factors and governmental regulations.
