Reporting to the SecureWorks Procurement Director, this position will partner with internal business units in the selection, contracting, and management of suppliers and procurement of goods and services in their assigned commodity area(s) which may include software, hardware, telecommunications, professional services, corporate services, marketing, facilities, etc.
-Implement sourcing/procurement strategies for commodities to support corporate objectives and the organization's need for a diverse and globally competitive supply base.
-Develop and execute a comprehensive Strategic Sourcing Plan that outlines strategies and specific actions to deliver the plan.
-Close deals in a timely manner to facilitate the introduction of new products and services that contribute to SecureWorks’ competitive advantage.
-Effectively negotiate agreements using Principled Negotiation strategies and adhering to the highest ethical standards.
-Provide comprehensive supplier management (e.g., scorecards, regular business reviews, etc.).
-Implement and ensure compliance with all relevant Procurement Policies and Procedures and maintain appropriate files.
-Research and track new developments in the technology commodity areas.
-Report commodity and supplier performance & cost for executive review.
-Identify opportunities for supplier rationalization and supply chain optimization and implement as appropriate.
-Identify cost targets for relevant roadmap products.
-Identify and implement procedures to reduce inefficiencies.
-Lead cross functional teams in the contracting process.
As a managed security provider, SecureWorks expects its employees to understand and apply commonly known security practices and possess a working knowledge of applicable industry controls such as NIST 800-53. Employees will be expected to acknowledge their security responsibilities in writing prior to gaining access to company systems. Employees will be required to maintain a working knowledge of local security policies and execute general controls as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 10 years in vendor negotiations.
- Excellent contract development and negotiation skills.
- Ability to gain alignment across cross-functional teams.
- Strong financial analysis.
- Good strategic/long-range planning skills.
- Ability to work with, and present to, senior management.
