This is a variable part-time internship opportunity from approximately April – December 2017 for a candidate with an interest in corporate social responsibility, communications and marketing.


The candidate will be primarily responsible for supporting and assisting the Global Impact team on various projects including traditional and digital communications (preparing presentations, award submissions, writing and editing blogs, and creating social media content), drafting and maintaining content on the Global Impact and MetLife Foundation sites, measuring and impact reports and other ad-hoc assignments.



  • Work with the digital and the social media team to create, manage and update content for the Global Impact and MetLife Foundation websites
  • Work with analytics team to obtain site metrics. Establish trends and insights for monthly report
  • Ad hoc research assignments in the CSR/Philanthropy field with a special focus on rankings, ratings and awards
  • Provide communications support for MetLife Foundation i.e. presentations, blogs, websites, etc.
  • Write and create original content for external partner sites
  • Participate in business partner calls and internal communications meetings


  • Must be enrolled in a Master’s degree program related to corporate social responsibility, with a strong communications background as well as any other related field of expertise.
  • 2-3 years’ work experience in related field.
  • Communications experience
  • Ability to navigate a highly matrixed corporate environment
  • Proactive and driven to achieve results
  • Writing and editing experience
