We are seeking a talented storyteller to help bring our strategy to life in a way that will resonate with employees across multiple geographies and cultures, using a variety of creative and practical mediums. This role is ideal for someone with creative flair and strong curating capabilities, who wants gain exposure to communications initiatives with global impact.


The incumbent will be primarily responsible for supporting and assisting the Global Communications team on a variety of projects for MetLife’s Global Operations group and its Global Employee Benefits (GEB) business.


Working across a variety of mediums, including SharePoint, Yammer and iMovie, the successful candidate will be responsible for curating, developing and maintaining content for the GEB and Global Operations employee community sites.



  • Curate, develop and update content and graphics on the GEB and Global Operations employee community sites on a regular basis.
  • Project manage content calendars for GEB and Global Operations employee community sites.
  • Analyze community site metrics and establish trends and insights for monthly reports.
  • Research and develop creative and content communications briefs for a variety of ad hoc projects.
  • Provide day-to-day communications support for GEB and Global Operations i.e. support Global Communications team members in developing presentations, scripts, emails, blogs, websites, videos etc.
  • Participate in business partner calls and internal communications meetings.


  • This is a full-time (40 hour per week) commitment from approximately June – August 2017 for a college senior, junior, or sophomore with communications and project management experience.
  • Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or Communications as well as any other related field of expertise.
  • Marketing, Media/Journalism, or Communications majors is preferred.
  • Ability to navigate large, complex organizations is desired.
  • Proactive and driven to achieve results.
  • Writing and editing experience.
