Global Marketing Director – Migraine

The Global Marketing Director will be responsible for building and translating the brand strategic imperatives through digital innovation to support the launch of a novel compound in migraine. Specifically, this individual is responsible for leading the development, launch, and life cycle management of the migraine strategy. This will include an unbranded strategy that will increase awareness of the significant unmet need in migraine. It will leverage 3rd party assets and destinations to construct an ecosystem to engage patients and Healthcare Providers (HCPs) seeking information on the prevention of migraine attacks. The role will be responsible for developing the strategy and leading the implementation of this plan prior to launch.
The Director will also lead the development of a next generation patient activation digital strategy in time for launch. Responsibilities include building a robust roadmap for launch and future iterations of the platform that align to the program strategy. This will require a strong foundation of marketing competencies and skills to engage a cross discipline team of internal and external experts. The Director is expected to lead the integration, collaboration and performance of this team. He or she will drive specific launch metrics with novel platforms, customized to meet the needs of the target patients and Healthcare Providers populations selected for launch.
Primary responsibilities include:
Delivering a pre-launch digital marketing strategy and platform that drives awareness of the unmet need in migraine.
Planning that align to the global strategy, including strategic imperatives, behavioral objectives, and key performance indicators.
Creating the concept for, and developing and delivering, a branded platform to support patients and healthcare providers
Developing performance metrics and an execution plan to deliver on these metrics
Building and maintaining cross-functional decision making and alignment
Optimizing investments and the allocation of resources
Collaborating with analytics, regional partners, professional agencies, corporate affairs, product development, regulatory, clinical and legal functions
Doctorate degree and 4 years of marketing experience
Master's degree and 7 years of marketing experience
Bachelor's degree and 9 years of marketing experience
10+ years of biotech/pharmaceutical experience, with a strong background in strategic marketing and a track record in delivering sophisticated programs that optimize clinical, regulatory, legal, and commercial functions.
Demonstrated brand strategy experience
Pharmaceutical product launch experience
A conceptual understanding of digital system design and a passion for creating non-traditional solutions to solve traditional marketing challenges
Strong leadership skills with ability to influence teams with diverse backgrounds
Exceptional business judgement and emotional intelligence
A curious mind and a tenacity to solve complex problems
Track record in working in fast changing environment with degrees of ambiguity
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and collaboration skills.
