BabyCenter is seeking a passionate and talented Analyst to provide analytics and insights to support cross-functional product teams.  This is a full-time position at our headquarters in San Francisco.

Our Analytics team plays an essential role in supporting the company. As a Global Product Analytics Manager, you'll work closely with our App, Community, and Site teams to support their day-to-day reporting needs, ad hoc projects, and longer-term analyses in order to provide insights from the data and make strategic suggestions.


This is a full-time position at our headquarters in San Francisco.


Responsibilities
  • Partner with internal product owners to understand needs and develop custom analyses.
  • Define KPIs to monitor products and for new product updates.
  • Provide guidance to the product and engineering teams to implement needed tracking in new product features.
  • Create and maintain dashboards to track KPIs and increase data visibility throughout the company.
  • Work with engineering and QA teams to ensure data is being collected properly, cohesively, and understandably.
  • Assist the product team in A/B testing new product features and updates.
  • Meet regularly with key stakeholders to share data and seek feedback on what information would be useful.
  • Provide insights on the numbers across the company, including to directors and executives, and make suggestions on where to focus strategic efforts.
  • Report on the success of new product features and updates.
  • Monitor the data regularly for possible errors or changes, and report on those appropriately.
  • Regularly work with, review, and recommend vendors to track and report on our products.
  • Partner with the Data Engineering team to ensure data completeness and fidelity.
  • Work with and understand raw data, including working with Data Engineering team to meaningfully summarize complicated data sets so they can be queried more quickly.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, ideally with a focus on statistics or business
  • A minimum of 4 years of business experience
  • Excel skills and proven ability to manipulate large quantities of data
  • Experience with databases; SQL skills desirable
  • Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills
  • Ability to interpret data and explain complex behaviors and analyses
  • Ability to provide appropriate and actionable business recommendations to directors and executives
  • Proven ability to understand team objectives and translate questions into insightful analysis
  • Proven ability and interest in quickly learning new analysis tools and software
  • Strong project management skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience analyzing user behavior on a website and/or app, including engagement, retention, and behavior modeling.
  • Experience with online community analytics, e.g., comments, likes/replies, engagement
  • Experience working for an online publisher with an ad-supported business model
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics (Omniture), Localytics, or other web and app tracking tools
  • Experience with Looker, Tableau, or other data visualization software
  • Experience with a statistical programming language such as R or a scripting language such as Python
  • Experience in a kanban or agile workflow environment, using Jira or other tools
