Role Summary/Purpose

The Global Product Line Leader - Network Services works to bridge technology, customer needs, sales channels, and customer success. This individual leads team of direct and indirect reports that act as the central resource and driving force for the product management processes, product lifecycle management, financials & reporting, and marketing of all Network product(s) as they move from conception to distribution, delivering world class offerings that support GE growth.

Essential Responsibilities

The Senior Product Management Leader - Network Services role will be responsible for:

• Leading a team of GE product managers and product strategy experts focused on delivering world class Network technologies

• Owning the product portfolio for all the products and services in Network technologies

• Partnering with the Customer Engagement team to manage overall product health, viability, viability, and adoption for all Network products and services

• Defining the roadmap for all Network products and services to maximize customer adoption and customer value

• Developing clear and exciting product positioning, value propositions, and product stories for Network products, along with the Customer Engagement team, that position CoreTech as the preferred technology supplier for GE business units

• Partnering with the Customer Engagement team to gather customer feedback and align Network product suite offerings to deliver on business outcomes

• Partnering with IT Engineering organization to determine how to maximize Network product offerings and current packaged solutions and services

• Managing the Network product lifecycle plan and identify resourcing needs, from inception to retirement, enabling the Engineering team to focus on delivery of technology solutions

• Leading New Product Introduction (NPI), and all associated functions, including business case validation, positioning, and the development of the strategy for the cost structure of products, service packages, and offerings for all GO CoreTech Network products and services

• Communicating with and influencing internal and supplier teams to ensure Network products developed and delivered as per the roadmap and strategic vision

• Building product positioning strategies and influencing the delivery teams to ensure Network products are positioned and implemented as per the vision

• Establishing the strategy for the cost structure of all Network products, service packages, and offerings

• Managing the budget and billing models for Network product lines

• Developing and managing productivity strategies and tracking of productivity targets for Network products and services

• Partnering with other product management teams to define a consistent, integrated, holistic product management approach for all products and services

• Managing performance, coaching team leaders and members, and resourcing the team appropriately to deliver on objectives while driving a culture of excellence

• Establishing and enabling a proactive, outcomes-oriented culture of accountability and partnership within the teams where 'not my job' is not an answer

• Facilitating the genesis of solutions in a productive, efficient manner, working across technologies and geographies to deliver customer-focused business outcomes

• Analyzing the external marketplace, customer feedback, and competitors to determine the right product features and benefits in order to maximize productivity for GE businesses

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Finance, Product Management/Marketing, or other technical / IT field, OR in lieu of a degree: a HS diploma/GED and 4+ years of IT experience or equivalent military experience/training

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in leading multi-discipline technical teams

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure operations, IT Product Management, and/or IT Financial Modeling

• Minimum of 5 years managing IT budgets and preparing financial models for IT product, services and solutions

Eligibility Requirements

• Preferred location of the GE GO CoreTech Atlanta, GA; Van Buren Township, MI;. MUST work out of a GO CoreTech location.

• Must be willing to travel 10-15% of the time

Desired Characteristics

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in and working hands on with Network technologies

• Ability to build/lead cross-functional teams, engage and influence individuals at multiple levels within and external to the organization, and influence direction with Senior IT Leaders

• Able to lead current and evolving initiatives across the matrix, leveraging global resources across verticals, business partners, and vendor resources as needed

• Strong business acumen; experience managing financials, budget, operating plans

• Ability to set and drive strategy in a complex business environment where technical requirements are continuously evolving and where technical and business solutions are undefined

• Ability to identify and capitalize on synergies (technical, process, etc.) across the organization in order to maximize the functionality of the technology and drive business solutions

• Deep experience in business intelligence and data analytics

• Proven experience in delivering infrastructure and Cloud solutions

• A track record of successfully delivering products to the market

• Excellent understanding of BI and analytics market

• Experience leading a team of Product Managers is preferred

• Experience engaging with customers in all phases of the product cycle - from pre-sales to ongoing operational delivery and support

• IMLP / AIMC / EIMP Graduate (GE Internal Candidates Only)

• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification (GE Internal Candidates Only)
