The Global Resistance Management Strategy Team is seeking a Global Regulatory Herbicide Resistance Management Lead to be primarily accountable for leadership of herbicide resistance management initiatives within the global Regulatory organization. The position is based in St. Louis, MO, USA

Responsibilities include:
• Responsible for implementing a strategy focused on the herbicide resistance management (HRM) for Monsanto products
• Leadership of herbicide resistance management initiatives within Regulatory
• Interact and work with cross functional HRM leaders in technology, commercial, stewardship and regulatory to drive company-wide HRM activities
• Accountable for strategy and implementation of Monsanto activities to meet HRM conditions of registration on herbicide products
• Develop relationships and expand outreach and engagement with independent experts in dialogue with policy makers and the public
• Foster and grow relationships with scientific organizations (e.g., WSSA, NRCS, ASA), regulatory authorities (USDA, EPA), industry groups (CLA/HRAC, CLI, BIO) and other likeminded organizations
• Increase Monsanto communication and stakeholder access to information on HRM and regulation
• Interact broadly with Monsanto's Technology, Regulatory, Government, and Corporate Engagement functions
• Work within the Global Resistance Management Strategy Team to align HRM / IRM approaches to resistance management
Required Education & Skills/Experience:
• Minimum of a Master's degree in Weed Science or related field
• Minimum of five or more years of experience in Weed Science
• Project leadership experience
• Demonstrated experience in building cross-functional collaboration to achieve common goals
• Ability to drive groups to consensus on key initiatives
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (with emphasis in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and strong computer skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to demonstrate diplomacy in working with diverse scientific groups or industry organizations
• Demonstrated commitment to the principles of herbicide resistance management
• Demonstrated experience working with industry groups
• Network of Weed Scientists
• Experience in some aspect of herbicide resistance management
• Agronomic row crop experience

Desired Education & Skills/Experience:
• PhD in Weed Science or related field
• Active involvement within Weed Science Society in leadership or committee functions
• Demonstrated experience working with industry groups
• Network of international Weed Scientists
