The candidate will be working in the SAP Application Infrastructure Space in the Operations area. He or she will partner with the Global Sector-Function Lead to ensure functional sustain and project teams have adequate technical/development support.

  • Partners with Sustain Lead to ensure adherence to provide service-level measurement
  • Partners with Global Infrastructure Leaders (Compute, Engineering, DBA)
  • Works with enterprise architecture to validate existing tool capabilities and positions for future software releases and to ensure that standards are implemented consistently
  • Works closely with vendors to identify technical solutions for business and functional issues when needed


  • Actively engages with the functional teams in defining optimal business information solutions to automate/simplify business processes
  • Manages overall Basis Sustain in line with AOP and that improves total cost of application ownership
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of a technical specialty and provides supervision and advice regarding its application
  • SLA performance and solution optimization, TCO reduction
  • Work/collaborate with external vendors, including on-shore and offshore resources to manage sustain and project delivery resource plans
  • Adherence to the internal SAP and Global applications support operating model, including technology standards, support methodology, release management, change management, and other related processes and procedures, SLA and controls compliance.
  • Submits period forecasts, manages project and organizational financials by accurately tracking and updating expense status through period forecasts to ensure budget expectations are achieved
  • Provides input to annual objectives, conducts annual performance processes including setting objectives and measurement and performance evaluation, conducts PMP Process, responsible for hiring decisions

  • Leads system administration support across enterprise SAP and tightly integrated applications that support end-to-end global and sector processes.
  • Manages and/or provides approval for project stage gate and solution design reviews
  • Defines internal quality and performance standards (e.g., services, patterns, decision trees, code templates, and common development services); Provides guidance and expertise to the development teams on design and development performance and architecture decisions; Acts as quality assurance (QA) lead and/or performs reviews on technical designs and builds to ensure all standards are met.
  • Provides content expertise for work intake process (i.e., business case and total cost of ownership (TCO)/cost estimate)
  • Collaborates with global function sub-leads in facilitating governance and template management, provide subject matter expertise, ensures team's adherence to PIRT and other global standards
  • Assists with development of strategic vision and direction for workgroup. Provides strategic input to Global Tech Lead for their technical space
  • Manages/owns delivery of/within budget ($1-5MM) and provides financial forecast for their area (may also manage investment budgets)
  • Leads team's work with customers and BIS partners to identify and resolve application and system issues within defined SLAs
  • Ensures effective resource utilization across the workgroup
  • Stays up-to-date with technology and industry trends by proactively participating in training, self-study, conferences, webcasts, user group participation, reading or other relevant means
  • Provides outstanding customer service skills to direct and indirect customers
  • Verifies that IT controls are followed, suggests IT controls enhancements


  • Bachelor's degree required

Work Experience:
  • 12+ years of hands-on System Admin preferably in SAP
  • 8+ years in managing teams and/or experience in managing global teams
  • Experience in CPG industry preferred

Skills and Capabilities:
  • HANA Experience will be preferred
  • PIRT knowledge and governance experience
  • Knowledge of integration points between business processes
  • Solves highly complex problems within their work team
  • Provides outstanding customer service skills to direct and indirect customers

  • Strong management skills with the ability to develop teams and cultivate talent
  • Knowledge and experience in following tools, disciplines and processes are preferred: SAP Solution Manager, SAP ChaRM, ITIL tools & processes, HP Service Manager, quality management tools, CPG industry experience, project implementation and production support experience
