Global Senior Project Manager - Hospitality Support
The Global Senior Project Manager for Micros Hospitality Support will oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of a specific short, medium and long-term global cross-functional projects across the organization .
The position is located in Belmont, California.
Responsible for significant, institute-wide projects, focused on meeting project commitments, including communication with sponsors, stakeholders, etc...
Lead the development and implementation of a broad, coordinated set of plans and programs to meet the goals and priorities of the organization
Provides leadership, vision and direction setting for both project team and business partners. Viewed as an expert, highly sought after resource and key advisor to business partners.
Drive organizational changes taking full account of obstacles, opposition, and differing stakeholder priorities.
Act as a champion for business process changes; act behind the scenes to craft solutions for business problems related or tangential to the project
Facilitate the project goals, tasks, and resources requirements: resolve and assist in the resolution of conflicts and between projects and functional areas; develop methods to monitor projects or areas of progress
Manage budget and resource allocation
Advocate on behalf of clients and represent client's needs as appropriate to executive management. Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes.
Handles broad-based, often complex, communication for internal and/or external audiences. Create a forum and format for ongoing open communication within functional area or among departments
Promotes knowledge of team's work to gain support for ongoing and future initiatives.
Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 5 years of managing increasingly global complex projects
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Systems, Engineering or related. Master degree preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills with ability to conduct presentations comfortably to large groups.
Able to work effectively and efficiently toward goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple and changing demands.
Outstanding record of project management success, both in results achieved and in use of professional methodology
Proactive in developing and implementing strategies that significantly mitigate risk.
Demonstrates superior collaboration skills and techniques which appropriately define alternate solutions; resolve conflicts; and create lasting, productive partnerships.
Performs non-technical project completion using an internal customer perspective, typically from initiation through delivery.
Develops project plans and coordinates cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement activity which bring distinct, specific projects to completion both on time and within budget.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Prefer 8 years of project management or related experience.
