**Job Description:** Global Specialty Sales Strategy Consultant EMC Specialty Sales is looking for an expert strategist with a passion for storage technologies to help create and execute the vision and direction of the Global Specialty Sales Team. The ideal candidate for this role will act as a key strategic advisor and operations consultant to the Global Chief Operating Officer to ensure the successful execution of the complex and wide ranging duties of running a modern sales organization. He/she will have a demonstrated ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analyses of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages and presentations for both the sales team and executives. This individual will be able to successfully liaise across multiple areas of the business and ensure that all aspects of the sales organization function in accordance with the principles inherent to the Specialty Sales high performance sales culture. **Responsibilities** + Create and drive the development of sales strategies and programs identifying and analyzing opportunities within geos, territories, verticals and accounts to ensure revenue growth, account penetration and customer satisfaction + Identify and implement key sales operational and performance metrics to measure business performance driving reporting activities. Develop key metrics and measures business performance of the organization against strategic and tactical operational metrics. Develop business models, business cases and forecasting tools in support of strategic sales initiatives + Drive operational efficiencies, best practices and other improvement initiatives with senior management. + Serve as the primary liaison for the Global Chief Operating Officer and interface and collaborate cross functionally to maintain communication across business groups. Function as the primary advocate for global sales initiatives and requirements across multiple BUs + Regularly interact with executives and management where interactions may require influencing and persuading other senior level managers + Serve as organization spokesperson on specialized projects/programs. Acts as prime consultant on large projects that affect the global sales organization’s long-term goals and objectives. **Requirements** + 8-10 years of progressive experience in program management and strategy creation + Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed environment, fostering communication across multiple teams, while promoting independent activities and parallel efforts + Excellent communication, team work, presentation, problem solving, and time management skills + Competitive, refuse-to-lose attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent team building and listening skills + Ability to think creatively and analytically at all times to define and implement successful, targeted sales strategies + Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing or a related field required; MBA preferred + Experience with high-performance-computing and/or environments with large data requirements a significant plus **EMC Values:** When you choose our company, you join a diverse world of innovative thought leaders.
