Intel is searching for an experienced self motivated engineer to join the GNSS Position Engine Software Group to help with the design, development and testing of its core GNSS and A-GNSS software intellectual property. The team is responsible for developing solutions for Intel's range of GNSS & A-GNSS products primarily focused at the Smartphone, Tablet, PC and Wearable's markets.
1.Design, implementation and test of new features within the Intel GNSS Positioning Engine firmware
2.Architecture, design, development and optimization of GNSS, A-GNSS and augmented location & navigation algorithms.
3.Implementation, testing and analysis of new algorithms running in high level language ("C").
4.Support of customer releases and verification activities.
5.Work closely with the GNSS Measurement Engine Team, and other sources of Location Measurement.
6.Critical analysis of diagnostic data from simulator and field testing of A-GNSS reference designs and customer cellphones / smartphones.
7.Provide GNSS training and support to the Intel Customer Support teams
PhD or Masters Degree in a Location Measurement related topic.
Significant professional experience (5 years) in an engineering environment
In-depth background in Location Measurement Technologies, preferably satellite based, GPS, GNSS, etc
In depth understanding and practical experience of Least Squares, Kalman Filtering and other numerical optimization techniques.
In depth understanding of statistical techniques for error analysis, error detection and elimination.
Implementation knowledge of GPS / GNSS location and navigation algorithms.
Implementation knowledge of GPS/ GNSS error sources and the techniques used to mitigate them.
Results orientated with a track record in problem solving, lateral thinking and rapid delivery.
Software Programming in "C" on embedded platforms (eg ARM, ARC).
Real Time and Embedded Software design, development & documentation.
Experienced in structured analysis/structured design methodology.
Experienced in the use of good software methodologies and practices.
Experienced in the use of Configuration Management and Revision Control systems.
Familiarity with scripting languages.
Familiarity with GPS, GLONASS, SBAS, QZSS, Beidou and Galileo signals and measurement processing.
Familiarity with IS-801, RRLP, RRC and LPP A-GPS and A-GNSS Location Protocols
Familiarity with Spirent GPS/GNSS simulators, ULTS and ULTS-ADS.
Familiarity with GNSS Measurement Engine techniques.
Familiarity with the use of low cost Sensors / MEMS for location.
Familiarity with GNSS Measurement Engine to Position Engine Protocols
Familiarity with industry standard GPS/GNSS formats/standards/interfaces (eg NMEA, JSR-179, Android Location Framework, RINEX, etc)
Familiarity with MS Visual Studio, with GUI experience helpful.
Familiarity with Linux, and the gcc tool chain.
Familiarity with embedded real-time operating systems.
Use of Matlab.
