Amgen's 10 - 12 week internship program offers meaningful project experiences that impact patient's lives. This internship provides the opportunity for executive and social networking events and to participate in community volunteer projects while providing a competitive compensation.
Relocation in the form of a transportation allowance will be provided for eligible candidates.
The Grad Intern - R&D (Global Regulatory Operations) will support the clinical transparency group, which makes information from Amgen clinical trials accessible to researchers and the general public. The intern will put web design, communication, and information management skills into practice while gaining a broad awareness of clinical transparency policy, current challenges, and an understanding of how diverse roles within R&D contribute to implementation efforts. Job responsibilities include:
Plan and implement updates to an internal SharePoint web portal for clinical transparency activities
Assess information needs based on targeted user interviews and assemble portal content to meet those needs
Develop communication materials to orient users and support a launch of the site to the larger organization
May develop manual or automated protocols to track transparency activities against targets
Basic Qualifications
Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:
18 years or older
Graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
Completion as a first year graduate student before internship starts and currently enrolled in a MBA program for a MBA internship OR a Master's program for a Masters internship OR a PharmD program for a PharmD internship OR PhD for a PhD internship from an accredited college or university
Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment
Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
Preferred Qualifications
Degree concentration(s) in Information Management, Library Science, Communications, Education, or related discipline
Strong knowledge in web design with experience in website design within SharePoint
Programming experience
Interest in clinical trial transparency
Strong written, oral, and analytical skills
Strong time and project management skills
Ability to effectively collaborate with others
Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research
