The Graphic Designer in Environments is responsible for the creative execution of projects and initiatives; creating and expanding on key elements derived from the brand’s holistic vision as to how employees and visitors experience Johnson & Johnson spatially around the globe through the development and application of diverse touch points such as digital, exhibits, retail and environmental design, with executional excellence. He/She can handle many projects at one time, collaborating with the design team, business partners, facilities oversight and fabricators. The Graphic Designer works under general supervision; handling many projects at one time, and collaborates in a team environment led by a Design Lead, Design Manager or Design Director.
As part of the workplace experience team, you will help unify our 900+ Johnson & Johnson facilities around the world, with the creation of standards, toolkits, and systems that optimize GSDO engagement and delivers a consistent experience across multiple locations. In retail experiences, you will assist in actively defining the global retail shopper experience (food/drug/mass channels), and the patient experience, striving to activate care settings with the brand promise.
Primary Responsibilities include:
A Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field is required (graphic design, industrial, architecture). 3-5 years of related experience is required, ideally with exposure to environmental graphic design. Demonstrate strong visual, written, and oral communication skills to execute project briefs. Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and a basic understanding of environmentally responsible design is required. Knowledge of 3D modeling and rendering preferred. Up to 75-100% hands-on design work.
