  • Directs the efforts of others in the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the group.  Leads team to successfully deliver the goals for schedule, budget, product cost, product quality, and production ramp rate on assigned program.
  • Manages the hiring, staffing and maintenance of a diverse and effective workforce.  Responsible for career development/planning, performance and pay discussions of team members.  Manages development budget and product costs.
  • Ensures each member of staff both understands and follows the OLP guidelines and Dell development process governance.  Identifies and drives improvements in the development process that facilitates quality, schedule or cost improvements.  Continually reassesses resource plans based on changing business conditions.
  • Provides technical management of electrical development, mechanical development, software development, peripherals development and Core Services activities required for the program.
  • Creates and executes development and test plans that meet the program goals (targets for time-to-market, scope, cost, and factory and field quality).
  • Provide oversight and governance of all non-product initiative activities across the team.
  • Manage resources at external suppliers including AMD, nVidia, Intel, and platform ODM partners to facilitate debug and resolution of issues and delivery of graphics solutions
  • Establishes working relationships and influences at the Manager, Director, and Vice President layers of leadership.
  • Behave as the path into Dell for all leadership-level graphics escalations as well as out of Dell for all leadership-level escalations to our graphics technology partners and ODMs.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent leadership and influencing skills driving cross functional alignment. Ability to quickly frame situations and make/drive decisions.
  • Strong Cross-functional team management, strong interpersonal skills and adaptive communication style. Experience with managing schedule, governance, and talent growth/investments of a technical/engineering team.
  • Strong technical depth & capability with PCI-Express peripherals and associated firmware and drivers.
  • Aggressive leadership supplier and technology partner relationships. Experience with the OEM > ODM development model and contract manufacturing.
  • Engineering/Computer Science degree, preference for depth of knowledge in computer engineering.
  • 10+ years industry experience (Dell experience is a plus).
  • 2+ years management experience (Dell management experience is a plus).
