The Group Product Director, Market Access & Reimbursement is a critical position within the Janssen Central Nervous System (CNS) Psychiatry Marketing team, and will be responsible for the overarching, integrated Market Access strategy for the CNS psychiatry portfolio.  This position leads and oversees the development and execution of strategies and business plans for all Advocacy, Policy, Payer, Product Distribution and Market Access Channels.  This includes, but is not limited to, Advocacy & Policy Agencies, Government Payers, Commercial Health Plans, PBMs, Medical Groups/ACOs, and Pharmacies focusing on Mental Health (PMH).  The position works closely with Brand Marketing, Strategic Customer Group (SCG) Managed Markets, SCG Institutional Business Group, HECOR, CIS, Healthcare Policy and Advocacy and Finance, and requires strong teamwork, collaboration and alignment of strategies across multiple stakeholders in order to understand business impact from each channel and deliver on business objectives.

Responsibilities / Areas of Focus:

  • Oversee a Market Access marketing team in the development and implementation of strategic customer strategies at both the national and regional levels. 
  • Development of innovative marketing strategies and resources that span the product portfolio for all payer field teams to achieve short-term and long-term business objectives.
  • Lead the overall market access marketing and reimbursement business plan for the entire portfolio of CNS-Psychiatry products, and develop strategies and tactics that support coverage for these brands including evolution of brand value propositions.  
  • Work closely with Brand Marketing, Site of Care, HECOR, SCG, Advocacy, Policy, Pricing, and Field Selling to align strategies designed to create access and coverage for said products. 
  • Act as the brand team lead for pricing and contracting, serve as point to the Managed Markets team within SCG, and will be responsible for all market access marketing functions, activities and communications to SCG.
  • Responsible for developing and executing the overarching Pharmacies focusing on Mental Health (PMH) strategy for the products that primarily flow through that pharmacy segment. 
  • Work closely with the SCG Field Directors, and will create unique local market solutions for payer customers and healthcare providers for the psychiatry portfolio.
  • Lead the health care policy team in activities to ensure access for patients with serious mental illness (SMI) and will also serve as Brand Lead on the Integrated Evidence Team (IET) to ensure the development of real world evidence supporting the short and long term goals of the CNS Franchise.  


  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required
  • An MBA is preferred
  • A minimum of 7 years of successful and progressive experience in Marketing, Sales, Payer/Institutional, Pricing or related fields in the pharma/biopharma industry is required
  • Payer Marketing or Market Access experience is required
  • People management experience is required
  • Experience in Psychiatry is highly preferred
  • Ability to be innovative, proactive, work within a team environment, and lead a cross-functional team is required
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills and experience presenting to senior management is required
  • This position is based in Titusville, NJ and may require up to 25% domestic travel.
