DePuy Synthes CMF is the worldwide leader in the development of products to treat orthopaedic CMF and other bone deformities.  The company is headquartered in West Chester, PA and Solothurn, Switzerland and employs over 1,000 people worldwide.  This position is located in West Chester, PA and is responsible for the US downstream marketing of the CMF product portfolio.

 

The Group Product Director, NA Regional Marketing CMF will report to the US Franchise Head – Senior Director of Marketing for Trauma and CMF. Responsibilities of the Group Product Director, NA Regional Marketing CMF include but are not limited to:

 
  • Commercial Results – Lead the US CMF Marketing team to achieve US business plan objectives of sales, net income, gross profit, inventory and price on an annual basis. Manage expenses within budget. Increase company’s leadership position in the US CMF market.  Develop and execute strategies to protect and grow company’s #1 position in the CMF market
  • New Product Launch Execution - Responsible for leading and executing impactful US product launches.  Specific responsibilities include the development and execution of regional price strategy, US promotional plan based on global marketing campaign strategy, product training plan (sales force & surgeons), sales forecasting, customer targeting, inventory allocation and roll-out plan, sales tools and communication, etc.
  • US CMF Business Support - Serve as the “bridge” between the US Sales team and rest of the company to ensure strong alignment around company’s business objectives, key strategies, and execution of business plan.  Develop strong relationships with all key functions, sales force and surgeon customers.
 
  • Business Planning & Execution - Develop and execute effective business plans related to grow the CMF business.  Apply understanding of the sales process to create well positioned market messaging that can drive customer and sales behavior and obtain appropriate field equipment investment.  Partner with Professional Education & Tradeshow groups to build promotional plans around key events and provide on-site support. Develop insights into US customers’ products and services needs to provide effective inputs for Franchise marketing portfolio planning process.  
  • Implementation of key US initiatives – Lead and support key initiatives in the NA region including collaboration with the Strategic Customer Group, Pricing, Franchise, etc. for the implementation of cross-selling partnerships with other J&J companies and strategic alliances with external partners, upgrading customer to new technologies and obsolescence of older products.
  • Company Culture and Talent Development – Manage and develop marketing talent.  Identify marketing ‘bench’ and mentor talent across the organization.  Promote a culture of innovation and marketing excellence.  Nurture strong relationships between marketing and sales teams. Ensure the company is focused on meeting customer’s need and be a positive agent for change within the organization.


Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required. An MBA or Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years’  progressive business experience in any of the following areas:  Marketing, Medical Device Product Development, R&D, Medical Device Sales, or a combination of Sales and Marketing is required
  • Demonstrated learning agility is required
  • Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams; high EQ;  ability to coach and develop talent are required
  • Supervisory/Lead experience, experience managing direct reports, or project management experience is required
  • Experience in marketing and launching new products, services and programs to the healthcare community is highly desired
  • Experience developing and executing successful business plans is preferred
  • Experience interacting with key customers and sales force stakeholders is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills are required
  • The selected candidate must have the ability to work in a hand’s-on, fast paced, customer focused environment and have a thirst for learning new things
  • This position requires up to 40% domestic travel including occasional weekends.
