Arconic Fastening Systems and Rings (AFSR) has an opportunity for a Heat Treat Operator. The position is located in Verdi, NV (Reno/Tahoe area).

Requires specific knowledge of general heat treat requirements for aluminum, titanium, nickel based alloys, stainless, and alloy steels. Must be familiar with Heat Treat scheduling to ensure proper sequence for product through heat treating. Must be familiar with the operation, adjustment and routine maintenance of all furnace controllers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Under the direction of an operator will batch loads for optimum productivity.
- Will be trained and under guidance will set thermal couple, prepare load per optimal heat distribution of load.
- Unload furnaces.
- Responsible for heat treat and process furnace accuracy and uniformity surveys.
- Ability to move parts on and off pallets.
- Interpret hardness rating utilizing measuring tools and standards.
- Places work piece into a heating furnace for a specified period of time.
- Will be responsible for Hardness testing, utilizing specific calibrated hardness testing equipment.
- Must have understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work instructions.
- Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policy, safety and procedures.

High School Diploma or GED LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. COMPUTER SKILLS:
Basic computer knowledge preferred CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
