Responsibilities for this Heavy Manufacturing Mechanical Assember job include:

Assembles according to specifications. Masters basic skills and some advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and / or equipment in area of expertise.
Assists others during assembly of components in area of expertise. Teaches other assemblers proper techniques and procedures for mastered key subassemblies.
Completes required assembly documentation, check sheets, ECRs, MRRs and material movement paperwork.
Resolves routine questions and problems in mastered subassemblies. Refers more complex issues to Group Team Leads.
Uses material handling equipment to move parts, components and subassemblies from one work or storage area to another as required.
Performs all duties in a safe manner and keeps all employees aware of dangers in work area. Practices good housekeeping in work area.
Assists more experienced Assemblers as assigned.
May be asked to perform team support roles to assist Supervisor.
Follow Safety, Health, Environment, and Hazardous Waste Rules and Responsibilities.
Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion.


High school diploma or GED.
Technical / vocational / or military training or related experience is helpful.
Typically has 6 months mechanical experience with the possibility of gaining through on the job training.
Ability to comprehend blueprints and be able to understand written engineering procedures.
Ability to use personal computer and / or workstation.
Must be proficient in at least one key sub-assembly and continue to train on additional components.
Ability to use hand and air tools, measuring devices, cranes, and assembly fixtures.
Position May Require specialized skills such as: Electrical or Hydraulics Knowledge.
