Location: Orange County
This work at home position requires approximately 50% local travel to provider offices in Orange County area (mileage reimbursed).

HEDIS Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and completing HEDIS Quality Department specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. Serves as a consultant, educator, and policy changer in the use of HEDIS data and the quality improvement process. Auditing diagnosis data collected from physician medical records to ensure proper ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and compliance with risk adjustment requirements.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Coordinates annual HEDIS medical record collection and/or abstraction process; analyzes plan/market results.
Assists in the development of training materials, templates, processes, and procedures related to the project.
Serves as resource and liaison for multiple associates to complete assignments.
Collaborates with teams regarding work flow process improvement, document management, and abstraction education.
Researches patient treatment, diagnosis, and related procedures using coded data to produce HEDIS results using organized charts or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
Perform coding audits/analysis on provider.
Requires a high school diploma;
Experience in all aspects of process development and execution,
Must have 2 years of HEDIS experience including abstraction and data entry, rate improvement activities and/or
2 years experience coding or performing coding audits or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
CCS/CPC strongly preferred or willing to obtain within 6 months of employment
2 years of professional presentations to small and large audiences or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background strongly preferred
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
AD or BA/BS preferred.
Must be willing and able to travel to provider offices within assigned territory.
