The main focus of the duty is to judge and produce (HIPA) shades for the production of (HIPA) powders. This job title also includes clerical type duties to insure the tracking and the traceability of materials. Must be able to pass a visual acuity test.
o Maintain a clean, safe work environment
o Initiate and sustain 5S
o Participate in the ¿Near-Miss¿ card program.
o Use the A3 process to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and/or Cost
o Pass a standard shade test at the expert level
o Use the Spectrophotometer to analyze and adjust powder shades.
o Control regulatory tracking of medical device materials
o Communicate with support functions (QA , Tech Services)
o Daily production of powder shades in accordance with production TAKT goals.
o Mix pigments and polymers to produce color concentrates for (HIPA) powders.
o Combine liquids and powders to make shade chips
o Operate powder filling equipment
o Operate bottle cap torque and torque testing equipment
o Assist Supervisor in identifying and initiating process improvements to further enhance the department's ability to meet established goals and objectives Focus on continuous process improvements
o Understand and seek out opportunities to institute lean manufacturing initiatives.
o Participate in cross-functional teams to initiate and implement projects designed to meet long term goals and objectives for the department and division.
o Complete reports detailing progress of the day-to-day operations and specific projects (Time Cards, Cycle counting and daily updates)
