The Interface Engineer will provide development for applications and interfaces, and work in close collaboration with clinical and corporate stakeholders to provide interface development. This position will support, maintain and develop HL7 Interfaces utilizing the Cloverleaf Interface Engine. The incumbent will evaluate user requirements for interface development and enhancements; design, develop, support and maintain interfaces in a complex and heterogeneous IT environment. The incumbent will also provide overall leadership to other interface engineers. Other duties will include, developing and maintaining interface support documentation and providing support to various IT related projects as needed.
Design and Develop HL7 interfaces utilizing Integration Best Practices
Provide day to day support for interfaces and provide technical expertise to other engineers and stakeholders
Provide architecture and design options to leadership to better increase efficiencies with interfacing across multiple platforms
Provide IT leadership to ensure delivery of interfaces on time and meeting scope and quality expectations
Ability to function productively on multiple project teams simultaneously
Ability to work independently without any supervision
Experienced working in a high paced environment and ability to work effectively under pressure/stressful conditions to meet tight deadlines
Ability to provide level of effort estimates and to perform tasks within the estimated level of effort and schedule
4 years experience in software engineering
4 or more years working with Cloverleaf and/or other health care interface engines.
Experienced in creating and developing high quality, well documented HL7interfaces.
Knowledge of clinical applications and systems (Practice Management Systems, Lab Information Systems, Radiation Systems, Electronic Heath Record Applications)
Ability to develop programming standards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and data manipulation.
Experience programming in various languages and databases (Oracle and/or SQL) for client/server
4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
Environment (Office, warehouse, etc.) – Normal office environment
