High performance compute (HPC) clusters run some of the world's most demanding applications like those that help predict dangerous weather, model car crashes, and find more effective ways to fight cancer. This software engineering position will develop tools to identify and diagnose systems level issues on HPC clusters. This role is for experienced developers who can ramp quickly into the team and make contributions.
Candidates should have strong communication skills and work well in a team environment. The software development engineer will help:
- Prototype, develop, and optimize system diagnostics software
- Evaluate, test, and validate cluster system diagnostic software
- Provide rapid response and support for stakeholders
Bachelors or Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
Candidate must have at least 2 years of software development experience including:
- C/C programming skills
- Linux systems
- Scripting knowledge
Beneficial to highlight skills or experience in any of the following:
- Collaborative software development
- SQL database programming
- Expert systems and/or machine learning
- HPC cluster systems
- Intel architecture
- Linux system administration
