HR Business Partner – Temporary 6 Months

Basic Function: Provide Human Resources business partnership and leadership to assigned client groups regarding all aspects of the people strategy: employee relations, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, organizational design and change management, performance management, career development, and talent acquisition. Additionally, lead learning & development and engagement initiatives for the business.

Position Duties:

Client Support
  • Provide full scope HR partnership to leaders including: employee relations, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, organizational design and change management, communications, performance management, career development, and talent acquisition
  • Work with leaders to understand their organization and people needs, build effective HR strategies to support those needs, and execute on plans with actions that tie back to the team's goals and HR objectives
  • Identify levers to drive employee engagement across assigned groups
  • Provide analysis and recommendations for organizational change, help set direction, and provide appropriate resources for implementation
  • Help identify areas for learning & development; provide recommendations/resources to management
  • Coach leaders on difficult situations, employee relations, mediating discussions, and performance management
  • Assess and identify HR strategy, policy, and process improvements as needed and work with the HR team to implement
  • Partner with Compensation to ensure pay levers are appropriately utilized to reward performance
  • Partner closely with leadership and HR recruiters to ensure recruitment needs are met
  • Collaborate with other specialist functions to work on global HR initiatives
  • Monitor and ensure company compliance with changing employment laws

    Learning, Development, and Engagement
  • Manage the development of learning programs to ensure alignment between offerings and business objectives
  • Oversee and project manage learning & development programs, including an open enrollment learning curriculum; ensure execution of program is near flawless
  • Play a key role in project managing and implementing meaningful engagement initiatives across the business

    Position Qualifications:

    Prior Experience:

  • BA or BS required, Master's degree in human resource, industrial psychology or MBA preferred
  • 5 years in progressively responsible HR business partner roles, preferably supporting teams at a high-tech, CPG, entertainment or creative company; gaming industry knowledge is a plus
  • Experience across all areas of the Human Resources functions
  • Experience work with and influencing managers and leaders at all levels
  • Demonstrated success operating as a strategic HR business partner

  • High learning agility and able to rapidly gain an understanding of an organization's business goals and translating business strategy into talent solutions
  • Effective project management skills to formulate a plan of action and effective execution of the plan
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to make timely decisions, solve complex problems, and prioritize projects/responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and support multiple people/programs simultaneously
  • Ability to build relationships and trust with employees and management quickly but thoughtfully
  • Highly responsive to all clients in assigned groups
  • Clear understanding of compensation and organizational design principles
  • Confidence in expressing opinions and recommendations and regular demonstration of independent thought with leaders
  • Ability to tailor messages to a variety of audiences, craft complex communications for all levels within client groups, and convey updates and training presentations to small or large groups
  • Highly collaborative and a team player with other HR team members, employees, and managers
  • A strong ability to influence people and decisions without authority, push back where appropriate, and to become a trustworthy partner within the organization
  • Ability to work independently required
