Position Summary: The Senior Manager, HR Learning Technology, is responsible for architecting and optimizing the enterprise learning technology ecosystem to drive a personalized, crafted, and modern learning experience for CVS Health colleagues that impacts business results and corporate compliance. This role leads the delivery of learning programs to a broad array of business users and stakeholders in support of core services and key corporate initiatives across disparate infrastructures. passionate about partnering with Training, Compliance and other business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to deliver and track technology-based learning at CVS Health.
This role will report to the Senior Director HR Technology and will lead all aspects of learning technology and vendor relationships to deliver a best in class learning experience. This includes, but is not limited to, systems administration of the Learning Management System – LEARNet and associated vendor relationships.
Oversees the strategic and operational direction for the Learning Technology Team and works closely with the Training Center of Excellence (COE) to effectively deliver learning solutions aligned with the needs of the business. Serves as lead technology support for all related updates, releases, troubleshooting, and deployments. Maintains the vendor-client relationships with vendors. Maintains, supports and optimizes learning technology (e.g. LMS, virtual learning, databases, learning content design tools and internal project tracking tools). Serves as the primary learning technology expert to the Training COE; assesses the effectiveness of the current learning technology platforms; and proposes new technology learning initiatives to support the achievement of strategic business objectives. Provides thought leadership in identifying state of the art learning technologies to support a highly diversified and dispersed workforce. Develops strong working relationships within Training as well as field and regional business leaders to understand, design,
build, and implement learning solutions that support the business. Builds the vision, strategy and Technology Roadmap for a more simplified user experience, including mobile learning capabilities, video-based solutions and performance support tools. Continuously investigate ways the organization can improve processes and/or reduce costs through use of new or existing technology. Acts as a liaison between the vendor and HR Business Partners and COE’s to ensure timely issue management and resolution.
The successful Senior Manager, HR Learning Technology will possess the following:- Problem-solver and self-starter who initiates solutions and collaborates and negotiates effectively with team members, partners, and stakeholders. - Requires a high degree of flexibility and adaptability to adjust to changing client demands, organizational needs, and emerging opportunities.- Vision in the role of technology in teaching and learning with an ability to inspire organizational interest. - Ability to define and maintain the internal governance model for technology projects and ensure priorities meet criteria for the overall Learning/Training roadmap. - Knowledge of technologies and systems used to support education and learning. - Comfortable with ambiguity and constant change, able to methodically work through complex problems, set priorities and execute on commitments. - Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Required Qualifications:- Minimum of 10 years of successful experience in a service-oriented learning technology environment.
- Minimum of 6 years direct experience with Learning Management Systems and other learning technology platforms.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or management role coaching, developing, and motivating teams.Preferred Qualifications:- Prior experience in training delivery and instructional design and or curriculum development preferred.
- Experience in systems integration with HR, Talent Management, and Performance Management.
- Skilled facilitating cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Camtasia and Articulate is preferred.Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent years of related professional experience in combination with years of education.
