Human Resources Generalist

GENERAL DESCRIPTION � PURPOSE OF ROLE:

This position is responsible for the day to day administration of HR policies and programs and will provide tactical HR support to all functions within the manufacturing facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Provide guidance and support to ensure adherence to Company policies and procedures; administer and interpret to ensure consistency



  • Act as the key user and point of contact in the payroll process regarding the input and support of Kronos and ADP entry; troubleshoot and work with Corporate to resolve issues



  • Develop and administer appropriate training opportunities for employee, career and organizational development



  • Conduct recruitment efforts and new hire process to include sourcing, interviewing, offer letters, background checks, drug screens, new hire paperwork, new hire orientation



  • Assist leadership in effective performance management including reviews, coaching and counseling; advise on corrective actions



  • Manage employee relations; investigate and resolve issues in a timely and confidential manner



  • Coordinate employee engagement and communication activities



  • Assist with benefits administration



  • Administer leaves of absence to include FMLA, Short and Long Term Disability



  • Maintain employee files



  • HR reporting, data tracking, analytics



  • QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 3-5 years' experience as Human Resources Generalist



  • 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment



  • Knowledge, understanding and application of basic employment laws including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, Worker's Compensation



  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable Federal, State and Local requirements



  • PREFERRED SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills; ability to analyze data



  • Ability to practice and maintain high level of confidentiality



  • Demonstrated commitment to achieve group objectives



  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products � Word, Excel, Power Point



  • Proficient in HRIS system maintenance



  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; presentation and training skills



  • Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines



  • Knowledge of Kronos/ADP payroll software



  • EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

    Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred; two year degree required
