HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER Our client is an international leader in the design and manufacturing of high end systems and components for the automotive industry. They have been in business for more than 100 years, have multiple R&D sites across the globe and supply parts to the auto makers worldwide. As the organization continues to grow they are looking to add an HR Manager to their plant in Tennessee (south central part of the state). This individual will oversee a business line made up of 600 - 700 employees. They will have 4 - 5 direct reports within the HR Department and they will collaborate with members of senior leadership across the US, Mexico and Europe. The position supports the plant operations through strong leadership abilities and HR expertise. Works as a key business partner to lead staff managers to the success and strength of the organization through the most important resources, the people. Provide expert support in all HR functions including pro-employee environment, recruitment and retention, leadership development and performance management. Responsibilities: Prompt and accurate reporting of labor costs, headcount and KPI's Manage HR team and payroll process Establish and maintain recognition and reward programs that attract, motivate and retain employees in line with the corporate strategy Lead the effort to manage issues and train staff to maintain an issue free environment utilizing HR processes, procedures, and coaching. Provide support to management on individual HR activities, performance issues, terminations, promotions, employee development and job description development Develop and maintain pro-employee environment. Ensure employee relations policies are developed, communicated and implemented Manage the World Class Manufacturing People Development Pillar Coordinate plant hiring at all levels. Deploy all resources necessary to attract, develop, and retain the best and brightest. Employ best practices for recruitment and retention programs. Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws in relation to pay, hiring, and discipline practices. Apply using corporate procedure for analyzing and balancing the Human Resource needs and costs at the plant. Utilize lean techniques to eliminate waste and cost through innovation, technology and administrative efficiencies. Practice and implement world class manufacturing. Drive performance management initiatives for leadership including development of talent. Champion performance management tools and assessments to continually develop leaders. Manage the talent and succession planning process for the plant. Understand the strengths, weaknesses, talent levels, skill gaps, development needs and develop programs to close any gaps identified. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree required, HR background preferred. Advanced degree in HR preferred. 4-7 years HR experience in support of a manufacturing facility in a progressive role. At least 2 years in a leader or senior generalist manufacturing support. Strong Leadership abilities Experience in lean manufacturing techniques Payroll and HRIS system knowledge (ADP and SAP knowledge experience preferred) SPHR / PHR certification preferred Strong business knowledge, ability to partner with business leaders Demonstrated problem solving, interpersonal, and written communication skills Strong knowledge of federal and state employment law Spanish and/or Italian language skills preferred Willingness to work with our global culture and diversity To Apply - Please send a Word version of your resume to firstname.lastname@example.org.
