Acalabrutinib is Acerta's lead program which was developed based on our discovery efforts. It is an investigational covalent Bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) inhibitor currently under investigation in multiple Phase 3 clinical trials. The clinical program includes over 20 trials in hematologic malignancies and solid tumors. Over 1,800 patients have participated in these trials to date.

The Human Resources Director is responsible for designing and implementing company strategy relating to Human Resources and plays a key role in the formulation of Company policies and procedures. May also manage specialist functions and generalists. Ensures that all processes and policies are in compliance with local and federal laws and are clearly aligned to the corporate goals and mission of the Company.

The Human Resources Director is responsible for developing and implementing the people strategy that is aligned with the organization's vision and its current and long-term business objectives. Advises the business executive team on HR issues in order to inform business planning activity. Partners with senior leadership to provide the strategic leadership in organizational change and other new initiatives. Supports the business in communicating and enabling change within the business area. Oversees the deployment of multiple core HR processes, including talent management, reward, performance management and recruitment, making recommendations for change where these do not align to business needs. Contributes to the development of HR policy and process and provides input into strategic HR direction. Proactively ensures that HR policies and practices are consistently applied and meet relevant labor law and other regulatory requirements.

Additionally, the Human Resources Director identifies organizational needs, critical people and organizational capabilities required to support these. Develops and ensures the execution of actionable plans for the business area. Actively monitors and challenges the leadership team, providing effective coaching, to ensure that Company values and performance standards are effectively reflected in recruitment, talent planning and reward decision-making. Defines HR resource requirements to deliver organizational HR objectives and enable successful execution of strategy. Financially plans and manages budgets for all areas of responsibility required for delivery of HR services. Builds capability within the HR function to deliver against objectives mentoring and developing talent. Leverages HR technology systems that improve the overall operation and effectiveness.

Required:

* 10+ years' experience in a senior HR generalist position
* Capability in developing and implementing HR strategy
* Business acumen
* Project and change management skills
* Strong collaboration and consultation skills
* Demonstrated competence to skillfully communicate with all levels of employees and the leadership team
* Extensive knowledge of all local, state and federal laws to ensure legal compliance
* Degree and postgraduate HR qualification
* Analytical, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to influence all levels of management
* In-depth compensation experience
* Experience in organizational development and design, change leadership, talent management/succession planning, and performance management required

Preferred:

* Global experience
* Experience in a small but fast growing company
* Prior HR and/or business leadership experience in biotech, pharmaceuticals or healthcare
