A Non Profit Organization in Midtown is looking for a Human Resources Manager on a temp to permanent basis. Payroll/ADP ? Perform various HR administrative tasks including, but not limited to: process employee changes (full-time, termination, and transfer of staff in ADP), partner with Payroll department to process employee payroll changes, schedule and lead onboarding of new hires, personnel file cleanup/maintenance, and I-9 form cleanup/maintenance ? Work closely with Finance on our ACA compliance. This includes updating ADP as required and ensuring our third-party vendor has the appropriate information and documents ? Act as a resource for Payroll/HR contacts to ensure their understanding and compliance with benefit and HR policies and regulations. Keep management advised of potential problem areas and recommend/implement solutions as appropriate Benefits ? Administer health and welfare plans including enrollments and terminations. Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions. Serves as the Cobra Administrator for organization ? Manage annual open enrollment period. Arrange for distribution of materials from carriers, assists with communicating changes to employees and arranges for on-site representation by providers. Conduct employee presentations. Process changes within deadlines ? Conduct new employee orientations to ensure employees gain an understanding of benefit plans and enrollment provisions. Counsels employees on plan provisions so that individuals can make informed benefit decisions. This includes all levels of employees including senior management ? Strive to ensure employee understanding of benefit programs by regularly generating communication and counseling employees/dependents as situations arise. Resolve employee complaints related to health and welfare plans, refers difficult or very complex complaints to manager as needed Administration ? Process monthly billings from insurance providers. Review billings for accuracy, codes, and advances for payment. Resolve discrepancies with carriers, payroll, and the company. Complete reports for management as requested ? Act as liaison with various insurance carriers and foster effective relationships with client representatives ? Process and manage claims as needed for disability carriers and Workers Compensation ? Develop and maintain affirmative action program; file EEO-1 report annually; maintain other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations ? Maintain human resource information system records and compile reports from the database ? Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment Other ? Handle employee relations issues as they arise ? Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed ?
