The position postdoctoral researcher has opened in the SELEX
group with emphasis on studies to optimize identification of aptamers that
functionally modulate key targets including cell surface receptors/immune
regulatory molecules. In this position, the successful candidate will have the opportunity
to conduct research in a cutting edge therapeutic platform. In addition to
furthering understanding of factors that define the functional efficacy of
aptamers you will learn to focus efforts to support the drive to potential
therapeutic products. Functional evaluation of aptamers target modulation
capacity on mouse and human cells will be conducted using in vitro assay
systems to maintain translatability. Interaction with colleagues from diverse
scientific backgrounds will build on your own breadth of knowledge and enhance

able to work as a team member as well as independently, should be able to
design and implement experiments independently and communicate findings in a group
setting which includes scientists from a variety of disciplines.

stimulation (antigen-specific or non-specific) is required.

with techniques used to characterize T cells including proliferation assays,
cytokine multiplex assays and multi-color flow cytometry using at least 4
biology experience is desired but not required.
