Global Operations (Global Ops) focuses on creating positive experiences for MetLife customers and helping the company make the best use of its global resources. The team’s goal is to transform MetLife’s operations into a global organization to create a differentiated customer experience, simplify operations, and leverage the organization’s scale. Global Ops includes over 11,200 associates across all of MetLife’s markets who are responsible for core insurance capabilities, including new business and underwriting, claims, policy administration, contact centers, and billing/remittance. The group processes approximately 12 million new applications, 10 million claims, 45 million policy transactions, and 10 million calls every year. Associates are responsible for claims, underwriting, policy administration, global shared services, print, imaging and document management, billing and remittance, and non-U.S. customer service call centers.

    

 

 

  • Participates in post-sale activities in setting up or converting client cases.
  • Reviews sold plan and project timeline with sales staff to identify any non-standard provisions or services.
  • Partners with other business units (Sales, IT, etc.) to ensure that implementations are delivered consistently, timely, and accurately.
  • May participate in sales presentations, and/or consult on plan design and administrative services; may recommend alternative plan provisions or administrative processes in place of non-standard or incompatible requests.
  • Identifies implementation-related problems and helps resolve issues.
  • Conducts weekly or periodic status meetings with various parties to review progress and resolve issues.

 


 

  • 2+ years of employee benefits experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills. 
  • Ability to modify and develop procedures and policies to meet reporting needs/requirements.
