Role Summary/Purpose:
The Implementation Portfolio Management team manages approximately 40 client portfolios that substantially replicate portfolios run by SSGA Stamford's fundamental equity portfolio managers and analysts. In addition to client portfolio management they also provide PM and portfolio support across a broad spectrum of processes and technologies to enhance the equity investment process.
Essential Responsibilities:
    \t
  1. \t\tLeverage operational and investment knowledge to add capacity for EQ PMs & analysts to focus on core strategies by managing client accounts client restrictions & cash flows
  2. \t
  3. \t\tWork with portfolio managers analysts and traders to determine substitute securities and/or alternate trading strategies due to client market or regulatory restrictions affecting client portfolios
  4. \t
  5. \t\tDaily client cash flows futures/ETF hedging & program trading
  6. \t
  7. \t\tOn-boarding & off-boarding of OCIO/ISG & 3rd party client accounts
  8. \t
  9. \t\tPlan and execute large-scale tactical asset allocation shifts and program trades for OCIO/ISG & 3rd party client transition management
  10. \t
  11. \t\tRun weekly equity portfolio mandate reviews
  12. \t
  13. \t\tInterface between portfolio managers and IT/Systems teams to maintain and enhance trading data visualization and investment process tools
  14. \t
  15. \t\tOn-going credit accrual reconciliation and payment management for equity research commission budgeting
  16. \t
  17. \t\tAct as a subject matter expert in support of key business initiatives such as client portfolio reviews RFP's and key cross functional projects
  18. \t
  19. \t\tDrive operational efficiencies across mandates teams & support functions by identifying process improvement opportunities
Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Requirements:
    \t
  1. \t\tBachelor's Degree preferably in a finance and/or technology-related discipline
  2. \t
  3. \t\tMinimum of 5 years of experience in an investment management organization preferably in the securities industry with a strong understanding of equity products
  4. \t
  5. \t\tFinancial data knowledge/expertise with particular emphasis on Excel / Data Visualization tools
  6. \t
  7. \t\tStrong critical thinking quantitative and analytical skills with ability to creatively problem solve
  8. \t
  9. \t\tResults driven
Essential Requirements:
    \t

  3. \t\tMUST be willing to comply with pre-employment screening including but not limited to drug testing reference verification and background check.

Desired Characteristics:
    \t
  1. \t\t7+ years' experience in investment management
  2. \t
  3. \t\tMBA and/or CFA preferred
  4. \t
  5. \t\tWorking knowledge of portfolio performance analytics and accounting
  6. \t
  7. \t\tPrior finance- or operations-related functional experience
  8. \t
  9. \t\tAbility to understand complex concepts and relationships
  10. \t
  11. \t\tHighly organized with strong attention to detail
  12. \t
  13. \t\tExperience using Bloomberg TIBCO Spotfire Blackrock Aladdin and Business Objects
  14. \t
  15. \t\tStrong Excel/data analytics experience
  16. \t
  17. \t\tStrong client/service orientation
  18. \t
  19. \t\tStrong communication skills verbal written and presentation; ability to effectively communicate strategic with internal stakeholders
