Adecco Group has an opening for a Import Logistics Analyst contract position in Durham, NC with a National client. The position could be extended based on work volume and performance.
Import Logistics Analyst Position - Durham, NC
Shift: Monday - Friday Start time flexible between 7:00am and 8:30am. Minimal travel for training may be required.
Pay Rate: $20/hr
Provide operational support to Import Control Officer / Team Lead concerning the entry and admissibility of merchandise, its classification, valuation, and the payment of duties and fees assessed or collected by Customs.
Primary contact for merchandise imported by client.
May be required to coordinate with client R&D department to facilitate the entry and clearance of research and development samples entering the US.
Maintain a high level of service to internal and external customers by minimizing custom clearance time, updating SAP regarding shipment changes effecting the estimated arrival time of merchandise, remaining current on
International transportation and CBP / EPA regulations.
Complete data entry requirements in SAP.
Arrange and coordinate other import activities
Assist in the management of merchandise moving via the rail and work closely with carriers to ensure pickups are made timely without demurrage charges.
Prepare EPA notice of arrivals
Prepare and collect the necessary documents needed to clear entries through Customs
Support duty drawback process
Coordinate US EPA Import label creation with US Demand Planning and US Label Graphics departments.
BA/BS 2+ years or 7-10 years applicable business experience
Knowledge of Warehouse management, inventory control / reconciliation
Basic understanding of financial / inventory management principals
Established knowledge and experience of warehousing, transportation
Good communications / interpersonal skills, customer focus is essential for success
Ability to prioritize and adjust to a frequently changing environment.
Experience with SAP, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access preferred
