Cummins is looking for an extraordinary Recreational Vehicle (RV) Technician/Mechanic with a strong work ethic to join the team in our service shop in Pittsburgh, PA. Independently complete troubleshooting and repairs on RV/Portable generator products and RV systems & accessories in a service workshop.
Communicate with service advisors and customers concerning repair diagnosis and status
Accurately document complete diagnostic testing, and repair or replacement services using business system input screens
Applies documented procedures and policies to perform diagnostics and complex repairs
Track and document all parts and materials used in repairs and/or replacements
Ensure that the final work product meets quality standards
Performs preventative maintenance based on assessment of generator sets
Completes training in line with skill and business requirements
Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
Adheres to, embraces, and ensures adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor
Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products, RV systems and accessories
High Voltage /Low Voltage practical experience
RVIA certification helpful but not required
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution (Preferred)
Apprentice Trained Power Generation / Electrical Technician (Preferred)
Current relevant electrical certification (Preferred)
Pennsylvania valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Ability to identify and resolve engine and/or generator set failures relating to and impacted by component failure
Able to identify opportunities for work process improvements and recommend appropriate action
Able to develop and maintain productive working relationships
Ability to effectively and efficiently execute complex service functions and diagnostics
Can resolve complex technical problems
Ability to identify, and communicate to supervisor, up selling opportunities when necessary for additional service and repair opportunities
