Role Summary:

Activities contributing to the design and development of products and their interaction with the human body. Deep technical expertise within a field. Has comprehensive knowledge of underlying principles, approaches and methodology.

Essential Responsibilities:

Provide statistical reasoning behind clinical studies, Develop sample size needs & estimates for proving or disproving hypothesis. Uses computer programs to gather, analyze, and track data about biological functions in order to gain a better understanding of biological activities. Applies existing technologies, approaches, methodologies in new combinations to design new products, systems or processes. Viewed internally and externally as a specialist in the discipline. Presents projects plans, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior business leaders (EB and SEB) within technical space and occasionally to senior leaders in partner technical teams. Communicates solutions across the own function and with cross-functional partner organizations.

Qualifications/Requirements:

+ Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience with the application of design theories, principles, and concepts to a portfolio of technology and/or consumer product designs OR a High School Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of experience with the application of design theories, principles, and concepts to a portfolio of technology and/or consumer product designs

+ Good understanding and experience in methodologies for design expression and validation, including sketches, models, storyboards, and prototyping

Desired Characteristics:

• An incurable curiosity relating to all things design and user experience

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and time management skills

• Excellent skills in sketching, 2-D and 3-D software packages for product design, including Adobe Suite & Rhino, experience with SolidWorks and/or Pro-E is a plus

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Expertise in human-centered design and user research methodologies

• Ability to confidently present your designs to internal teams and customers

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design or equivalent

• An amazing portfolio
