Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an opening for a Business Analyst at our Houston, TX office.
The Industrial Gases North America South ("South") Business Analyst will provide essential decision support to the South business. The Industrial Gases North America region is divided into four sub-regions: South, North, West and HYCO. The South sub-region consists of approximately 110 active assets including piggy-back facilities, large onsites, and generated gases facilities located in the southern United States. It generates $0.5 billion in annual revenue as it supplies industrial gases to a diverse customer base. The South Business Analyst will contribute to the profitability of the South by providing both project and operational analysis support directly to the management team.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated proficiency in operational and cash flow project analysis, and comfort navigating Air Products' financial systems and tools. Primary responsibilities will include partnering with business management to provide effective financial support and concise reporting, and influencing various business management, pricing, operational, and sales initiatives through data driven decision making. This activity will provide and require interactions with all levels of the management team. Key responsibilities include the following:
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Analytical support to South business management and leadership
- Support business strategy development, profitability improvement efforts, customer profitability measures, planning efforts and best practice sharing
- Project cash flow analysis of new business opportunities including capital and productivity projects
- Operational analysis of the asset portfolio including understanding results, identifying major factors and translating the data into important and concise information
- Coordination and support of forecasts
- Participate in Business Execution Plans
- Demonstrated proficiency in operational and cash flow project analysis
- Ability to navigate Air Products' financial systems and tools
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- MBA or equivalent degree and a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience
