Uses extensive paint/body experience, Grit Blast, and Final Paint advanced skills, and judgment to complete assigned paint requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Painting according to client's specifications. Applies specialized skills in procedures.
Assists with design and set-up of work centers.
Troubleshoots problems, identifies and communicates design discrepancies. Identifies and suggests design improvements.
Completes required paint documentation including VOC log, check sheets, ECRs, OFIs.
Moves painted parts to the next process verifying they meet specifications.
Uses material handling equipment to move parts, components from one work or storage area to another as required.
Recommends improvements to Paint Procedures. May draft new procedures as assigned.
Performs all duties in a safe manner and keeps all employees aware of dangers in work area. Practices good housekeeping in work area.
Reviews daily team requirements, coordinates activities, and coordinates overtime requirements with Team Manager.
Trains and assists other painters with proper techniques and procedures.
Follow Safety, Health, Environment, and Hazardous Waste Rules and Responsibilities.
Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED.
Technical / vocational / or military training or related experience.
At least on year of auto paint and body experience or similar experience.
