**Job Description:** **Senior Manager, Thought Leadership, Global Communications** **Background** As part of a broader marketing and communications strategy, Dell is continually enhancing the way it communicates with employees, influencers and other stakeholders. Working with the wider Global Communications team, this role will be pivotal in showcasing Dell’s expertise and vision for the future. This role reports to the Director of Thought Leadership, Global Communications, and forms an integral part of the Global Communications team in Marketing. **Role Description** This role will be responsible for managing key thought leadership platforms and content within the Global Communications team. He/she would aid the execution and delivery of storylines, infographics and premier research projects to be amplified across paid, owned and earned channels. Partnering with key Communication functions such as Public Relations, Regional Communications, Executive Communications and Digital Communications this person would coordinate a cross-functional team to executive against key communication programs. Specific goals are: + Help gain positive share of voice against key company themes + Magnetize the company brand and demonstrate Dell’s understanding of its customers and the challenges they face + Build creative campaigns and content that engage key audiences in new ways **Key Responsibilities** + Coordinates creative and editorial projects, alongside writers and designers, to deliver world-class materials such as video, infographics, bylines,that communicate Dell’s key messages to the global communication team + Project manages thought leadership launches, including creating work-back plans and shot-clocks and ensuring project teams work in unison, on time + Contributes to and helps manage a forward content calendar, liaising with regional communications teams to ensure priorities are met and agreed + Collaborates with cross marketing teams (Campaigns, Brand & Creative and Social) to extend lifecycle of assets + Copy-writing – proofing reports, content and other comms related planning documents + Producing PowerPoint presentations to showcase and present projects and Comms plans + Oversees administrative elements such as populating Intranet with available content, contributing to staff newsletter + Manages vendor POs and helps manage third-party vendors such as PR agency, researcher, freelance writer + Tracks the results of, and promotes outcomes and successes of the program **The Ideal Candidate** + Acts with urgency: proactively maintains an overriding focus on helping team achieve beyond the status quo + Positive, can-do attitude – passionate about creating and executing best practice · Possesses high levels of initiative, is self-driven, accountable and able to manage projects without supervision · Strong project management skills and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environment · Strong communication skills, collaborative · Highly organized and possesses strong attention to detail · Excellent with PowerPoint, Corporate presentations, proofing and copy-writing + Experience in large enterprise/Fortune 500/ global matrixed organization, PR or Marketing agency experience a plus + Experience in the information technology industry and/or communications profession preferred **Education Required:** Bachelor’s degree **Experience Required:** 4+ Years **Physical Requirements:** Based in Hopkinton, Massachusetts at Dell EMC HQ or in Austin Texas, at Dell HQ **EMC Values:** When you choose our company, you join a diverse world of innovative thought leaders.
