The IO Planner will serve as the information operations (IO) subject matter expert to the client and be responsible for:

- developing MISO plans and programs in conjunction with the client operational planning teams (OPT) and interagency planning teams in accordance with JCS, OSD and other planning directives.
- developing guidance for component and subordinate headquarters MISO and IO Teams.
- provide input to JOPES/JOPP, non-lethal targeting plan and exercises as well as support the execution of MISO efforts at the client site.
Identify and communicate to the client information requirements needed for analysis and course of action development as well as provide IO inputs and recommendations to concepts of operation (CONOPS), briefs, and papers.
