This position is for an Automation Engineer supporting our complex IT environments.  The primary day to day activities for this engineer will revolve around the technical aspects of Infrastructure Provisioning.  Additional responsibilities will include planning and design around the currency, provisioning, deployment and mechanism for service impact recovery. This position requires deep knowledge in provisioning requirements of Physical and Virtual hardware, various cloud providers, Operating systems, Network devices, Storage devices and Database servers.  This position requires a proven track record on building a service catalog which supports complex requests.  These requests facilitate an application owner to request and receive needed infrastructure without needing subject matter knowledge.  This position will be integral in designing a sustainable operational model which will implement Infrastructure as Code.  This position must understand the ITSM process, operations data, as well as real time visibility requirements and how each interacts with the operation of complex production environments. We are looking for an individual that can drive a group of professionals using critical thinking and create a forward moving plan that will impact Enterprise Operations moving forward.


  • Engineer cross product end to end maintainable automation framework for server products, requiring tools evaluation, infrastructure planning, collaboration with existing tools and team members
  • Responsible for designing and improving the orchestration flows associated with each layer of infrastructure provisioning
  • Responsible for designing the complex workflows needed to provision across the layers of infrastructure
  • Participate in testing and evaluation of new technologies to ensure compatibility and functionality
  • Review tool sets regularly for efficiency, functionality, and cost for performance
  • Stay current on industry trends and new technologies and recommend future initiatives
  • Work closely with internal customers to understand needs, technology landscape, and changing requirements


  • 3+ years of experience with DevOps or Automation
  • 3+ years expertise in software distribution/configuration management
  • 3+ years of experience in a team charged with designing, implementing, maintaining, and administering enterprise systems
  • 3+ experience with Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt Stack, and/or Bladelogic Automation Tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred or years of equivalent work experience required
  • Prefer: Creating of global strategies & technology roads maps and/or strong working knowledge of all aspects of server configuration management, including software distribution, provisioning, patching, compliance & inventory
